How engagements with Bymond actually work.
This page covers the commercial side: how a project gets scoped, priced, and delivered. For the technical delivery process itself, see how we build.
Who We Work Best With
We're set up for engagements with enough scope to justify senior engineering time: organizations that need custom software built, infrastructure operated long-term, or workflows automated across real systems, rather than a quick one-off site.
- You need something built and then operated, not just handed off.
- You have a defined business problem, even if the technical approach isn't fixed yet.
- Your engagement budget is roughly $5,000 or more.
- —You just need managed BigBlueButton hosting at published plan pricing (see BigBlueButton Host).
- —You need a simple brochure website with no infrastructure or ongoing operations component.
From First Inquiry to Ongoing Operation
The commercial arc of an engagement. Technical delivery steps within “Build” are covered on the Solutions page.
Inquiry
You describe your objective, current situation, and rough scale through the contact form.
Discovery
A senior engineer reviews your requirements directly, with no sales handoff, and discusses constraints and priorities.
Scoping & Proposal
We define what's actually needed and provide a written technical approach and cost estimate.
Agreement
We confirm scope, timeline, and, for infrastructure work, the operating relationship going forward.
Build
Engineering begins against the agreed architecture, with visibility into progress.
Launch
We deploy to production with testing and rollout safeguards.
Operate
For systems we build, we can keep operating them: monitoring, patching, and improving, not a one-time handoff.
Build and Operate, Not Just Build
Most of what we build, we can also keep running: monitoring, security patching, capacity changes, and incremental improvement over time. This is structured as a separate, explicit part of an engagement, not an assumption baked into the price. If you only need a one-time build with no ongoing relationship, that's a fair scope too, and we'll agree on it upfront either way.
Engagement Model FAQ
How is a project priced?
We evaluate scope, technical complexity, infrastructure requirements, and timeline together with you, then provide a written proposal. Most active engagements fall between $5,000 and $50,000, depending on scope and whether ongoing operations are included.
What's the minimum engagement size?
We're set up for engagements starting around $5,000, meaning work with enough scope for senior engineering time to be well spent. If what you actually need is managed BigBlueButton hosting at published pricing, BigBlueButton Host's self-serve plans are usually a better and faster fit.
Do you offer ongoing support after launch?
Yes. For infrastructure and platforms we build, we can continue operating them: monitoring, security patching, and incremental improvements. This is usually structured as an ongoing arrangement separate from the initial build, not an assumed add-on.
How long does a typical engagement take?
It depends entirely on scope. A focused infrastructure engagement might run a few weeks; a custom platform build with ongoing operations is a longer relationship. We give a concrete timeline as part of the proposal, not before we understand what's being built.
Can you join an existing project instead of starting from scratch?
Yes. We can join at any stage: as the original engineering team on something new, or stepping into an existing system that needs improvement, scaling, or more reliable operations.
Have a project worth scoping properly?
Tell us what you're building, operating, or trying to automate. We'll respond directly, not through a sales queue.
