FFmpeg
Video/audio transcoding for post-session recording pipelines.
Where This Fits
After a virtual classroom session ends, raw recording data needs to be transcoded into a playable video file. FFmpeg is the standard tool for that: reliable, scriptable, and able to handle the specific formats BigBlueButton produces.
How It's Typically Deployed
Runs as an automated background job after each session, rendering final MP4 recordings that are then archived to object storage (AWS S3).
